Spoleto
Spoleto
Spoleto, one of the most beautiful little towns of central Italy, medieval town with important Roman ruins.
The most important monument of the “city of the two worlds” is the Duomo, but the church of Sant’Eufemia, the church of Saints Giovanni e Paolo, The Abbey of San Ponziano, the Church of San Domenico, Church of San Nicolò and the Palace of the City Hall are also very interesting. Do not miss the Church of San Paolo inter vineas (X century), with an important series of frescoes dating back to 1200, the church of San Pietro (V century), with a wonderful Romanic façade decorated with extraordinary bas-reliefs.
Above the city stands the imposing Forteress Rocca albornoziana, built in 1352.
