Maderno

Two-Room Apartment – “Maderno”

First-floor apartment with a living room featuring a fireplace and a kitchenette. It offers one bedroom with either a double bed or two single beds, along with a private bathroom.

The apartment is named after the architect Carlo Maderno, a specialist in water regulation, who at the end of the 16th century was called from Rome to design hydraulic structures essential for reclaiming the land. The most significant testimony of his work is the “Sportone Maderno” in the nearby countryside of Bevagna.

From its windows, guests can enjoy a striking view of the Clitunno River, which flows down the valley, bordering the fields of our estate until it reaches the hydraulic work of the “Sportoni”. From this structure originates the Canale dei Molini, which a little further downstream runs beneath the Marroggia and Teverone streams — for a short stretch flowing over a bed of oak beams.
